The Town Hall began with an expert update on scientific advances directly relevant to our community planning. We then shared the range of options we are considering for the coming months and took questions from the community. Finally, we mentioned upcoming opportunities for members of the community to learn more and contribute perspectives, concerns, and ideas to the ongoing problem solving.

A dozen faculty and administrative leaders addressed the topics that community members asked about most often, including concerns of staff and students. Other subjects included MIT’s financial situation, how we’re thinking about the future in terms of research and academics – and how the people of MIT are helping in the larger fight against Covid-19.
